Teacher of the faculty of history, languages and literature has professional development in Germany

Tatyana Piterskova, an associate professor of the Department “German and Methods of Teaching German” had a course of professional development in Goethe-Institute, the city of Mannheim, from the 29th of June till the 19th of July, 2014. She took part in the seminar “Method of projects in training adults” (“Unterrichtsprojekte im Erwachsenenbereich“). She got this opportunity because she won a scholarship on a competitive base.

The key aspects of the seminar included methodical and didactic principles of project-based training, using information technologies in teaching German, implementing linguistic and cultural knowledge.

The wide programme of the seminar acquainted the participators with innovative approaches and modern techniques of teaching German and gave them an opportunity to exchange work experience with colleagues. Within the framework of the seminar the participators implemented nine academic projects (literature projects, video-projects, theatrical pedagogy, online projects, musical projects, etc.). The cultural programme included a film festival and excursions to the cities of Heidelberg, Worms and Schwetzingen. The programme contained 120 academic hours. Similar seminars are organized by Goethe-Institute. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
