Penza State University hosts III “Penza-Flensburg” Congress
Penza-Flensburg” Congress opened at Penza State University on June, 1st, 2015.
In his opening speech Rector of Penza State University Aleksandr Gulyakov welcomed the guests and said: “Our University hosts the International Congress for the second time (in 2014 the Congress took place in Germany). Our relationships with Flensburg representatives have lasted for 8 years. The Congress “Penza-Flensburg” is a logical result of our friendship and constructive dialogue. The main aim of the Congress is cooperation of mutual efforts in education, science and social interaction”.
Flensburg President Swetlana Krätzschmar is visiting Penza for the first time. On behalf of the Parliament, the city administration and Flensburg citizens Swetlana gave best regards to Penza citizens and to the participants of the Congress. She said “Last year I took part in the second Congress and I hope that my efforts helped to develop our contacts with Penza”.
Penza and Flensburg have long and close partner relations. First of all it is a close cooperation between Penza State University and Flensburg University, cooperation between schools and medical institutions of both the cities.
The Congress will work till June, 5th.
Within the framework of III Penza-Flensburg Congress the following themes will be discussed:
- “International cooperation in education: University. School”;
- “International cooperation in administration and social sphere”;
- “International cooperation in medicine”;
- “Friendship society of the cities of Penza and Flensburg is a bridge between the cultures”.
The Congress demonstrates friendly relations between the cities on the European level and between Russia and Germany in the global scale. It will contribute to the development of partner relations between Penza and Flensburg institutes.
