Penza State University at the International Consortium Meeting in Scotland.
Three representatives of Penza State Univesity – Sergey Vasin (Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the university), Olga Surina (Director of the Institute of Teacher Education), and Natalia Pavlova (head of the department of Foreign Languages) – participated in the activities of the European consortium on teacher education that took place in Edinburgh on 8th-11th of November.
Partner universities discussed perspectives of cooperation and worked out the procedure of applying for EC funding for ERASMUS+ teacher education programmes in 2016. Penza State University suggested the study of new possibilities of integration in the sphere of European teacher education and put forward specific offers and possibilities of joint activities.
The following consortium meetings sessions were focused on the management of current project “Cooperation between universities and experimental university schools”. The project participants, including Penza State University, discussed the issues connected with the first stage of the project and developed practical guidelines, discussed the action plan on establishing cooperation with associations of teacher educators and institutions of teacher education so as the developed methods and teachinques of establishing ‘university schools’ can be put into practice.
