Cooperation Visit to 1 December 1918 University, Alba Iulia (Romania)
The representatives of Penza State University paid a visit to 1 December 1918 University, Alba Iulia in Romania with the aim of discussing and joining the transnational projects, based on multilateral cooperation of EU universities within the framework of Erasmus+ programme of international cooperation.
The Russian delegation included representatives of the International Cooperation Office, the Centre for Complex Support and Inclusive Education and several teaching departments of Penza State University. The professors from Penza State University delivered guest lectures – E.Zotov (‘Machine Building Technologies’ department), I.Los (‘Welding, Foundry Production and Material Studies’ department), M.Lygina (‘Pedagogy and Psychology’ department’). M.Kuznetsova and Yu.Lukanina conducted the seminars aimed at linking researchers between the two universities. O.Simakova discussed the issues in organizing inclusive education.
O.Meshcheryakova, director of the International Cooperation Office, discussed the possibilities of cooperation in Erasmus+ projects. The researchers in 1 December 1918 University, Alba Iulia were offered a series of research projects developed at Penza State University. Such joint projects contribute to global research integration.
The representatives of both universities agreed on the development of student exchange programmes under Erasmus+ programme. The first group of Penza students will go to Romania already in February of 2017. International studies are beneficial both for the students as it allows to receive a wider outlook and for the university as a whole, allowing to raise the quality of education and research and establish its positions at the global education arena.
