On September 15th, 2017 Penza State University hosted the closing ceremony of the V International Congress Flensburg – Penza where the participants summarized results of three-day work. The event was attended by Valery P. Savelyev, Head of Penza City Administration, Aleksandr D. Guliakov, Rector of PSU, and delegation from Flensburg, Germany.

In his opening remarks Aleksandr D. Guliakov emphasised the importance of international relations both for university prestige and for projects planned to be developed within the agreements reached.

“During these days we worked very hard, we found many ready-made solutions. We are pleased that our decisions are upheld by regional authorities that meet us halfway in numerous spheres. We plan to further enhance our collaboration. Thank you for the fruitful work at the Congress,” Aleksandr D. Guliakov stressed.

In her reply, Svetlana Krechmar, President of Flensburg, cordially addressed the university authorities, as well as the Administration of Penza and Penza Region on the whole.

“These three days were so saturated as if it was three years. We felt great desire for collaborative work demonstrated by the university authorities and by the representatives of region enterprises. Our cooperation will gather steam in the field of students and academic staff exchanges between the establishments,” noted Svetlana Krechmar.

At the end of the meeting the parties interchanged souvenirs and gifts.
