Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, participated in the international conference “Europe in Transition. Intercultural Processes – International Interpretation” held in the University of Flensburg (Flensburg, Germany) from September 9th to 15th, 2017. PSU academic attended the event at the invitation of the University of Flensburg within Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme.

The conference was organised by the Society of Intercultural German Studies. The event brought together scientists from different European and Asian countries. The workshops dealt with various topics, including social and language processes in modern Europe, language policy in Europe, stereotypes and prejudice, challenges in literature studies, issues of translation practice and didactic methods.

Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina presented the report devoted to transformations in European political rhetoric of the XX century. She also took part in workshops and round-table discussions on the prospects of scientific cooperation with the participants of the conference.
