PSU academics conduct research at the University of Gävle (Sweden)
On November 13, 2017 Yevgeny Yu. Smolkin, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, staff member of the Research Centre “Supercomputer Modelling in Electrodynamics”, made a presentation at the University of Gävle (Sweden). The PSU academic reported on “Analytical and Numerical Methods for the Analysis of Electromagnetic Waves in a Metal-Dielectric Waveguide of Arbitrary Cross Section”.
On November 14, 2017 Professor Yuri G. Smirnov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Supercomputer Modelling, delivered the report on “Applications of the Spectral Theory of Operator Pencils to Modelling the Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in Open Dielectric Waveguides”.
The scientific works were conducted within the project “Supercomputer Modelling for Addressing Applied Issues of Electrodynamics” sponsored by the grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 1.894.2017/4.6.
