PSU Doctoral and Master’s degree students participate in the international conference in Finland
In November 2017 A.V. Kuzmin, doctoral student, and M.I. Safronov, Master’s degree student, took part in the international conference held at the University of Helsinki, which is listed among the top 100 universities in the world.
The conference was held under the auspices of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). The organiser of the event was the Finnish-Russian University Community on Telecommunications.
The main topics included telecommunication technologies, computer information processing, and e-Health technologies. The conference was attended by representatives of 24 countries, including Finland, Russia, Italy, Japan, etc.
PSU representatives participated in the e-Health section and delivered three thematic reports.
Mr Kuzmin is the senior research fellow at the Research Institute of Physical Measurements, Polytechnic Institute, and the Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Computation Systems, PSU. The researcher spoke on the processing of biomedical signals and on the development of algorithmic and software tools for analysing electrocardiographic information. The reports were positive evaluated by the organising committee and were recommended for publication in the expanded version of an international journal.
Mr Safronov is the Master’s degree student at the Department of Data Measuring Equipment and Metrology, PSU. At the conference he presented technical solutions for systems of mobile monitoring ECG at a session of short reports and a demonstration session of working prototypes.
