PSU ranked 54th among Russian universities in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities
The Spanish Cybermetrics Lab, part of the Spanish National Research Council, published the results of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, which evaluates the presence of universities in the global Internet space.
Penza State University ranked 54th among Russian universities and 3099th in the world.
Penza State University in the Russian segment is ahead of such leading universities as Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, St. Petersburg Mining University, and Far Eastern Federal University.
Lomonosov Moscow State University (222nd place in the world) remains the acknowledged leader in the Russian segment. The first line in the world, according to the Webometrics Ranking, is firmly occupied by Harvard University.
The ranking also includes other universities of the Penza region. Penza State University of Architecture and Construction is on the 278th line in Russia, Penza State Technological University is on the 422nd line, Penza State Agricultural Academy is on the 573rd line.
The methodology of the ranking is based on four criteria, each of which assesses the university’s success according to its position on the Internet and has a particular weighting factor.
