Representatives of Lublin University of Technology visit PSU
From 3rd to 5th of June, a working visit of representatives of Lublin University of Technology took place at Penza State University. This year, the guests of the university were Antoni Swic, director of the Institute of Technological Information Systems, Jaroslaw Pawel Zubrzycki, head of the department "Biomedical Engineering", and Tomasz Gorecki, teacher at the department "Biomedical Engineering".
Note that Lublin University of Technology has had long-term friendship with PSU. Their cooperation started back in 1994, when the then Penza Polytechnic Institute first worked together with Lublin Polytechnic University.
In 2015, the parties entered into an agreement on implementing an academic mobility programme under the Erasmus + programme, which opened up opportunities for exchanging students, teachers and staff on a regular basis. The visit of the Polish guests was made possible thanks to this programme.
At the round table, which opened the visit of the Polish representatives, I. Artemov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of PSU, emphasized the long-term relations between our countries and expressed the hope that they will develop in the future.
“We are glad to see you again in Penza and want to note that joint projects enrich both the parties in the fields of science and culture,” said I. Artemov.
According to the guests, the programme of their stay was very interesting and intense. On the first day, they got acquainted with our university, the structure of the Polytechnic Institute of PSU, then they met the representatives of its departments. On the second and third day of their visit, the representatives of Poland were able to study the educational activities and the university infrastructure.
“We have identified priority areas in which both parties would be interested. During the visit, the next steps of joint cooperation were identified. We think that cooperation might be within the framework of academic exchange programmes”, noted Antoni Swic.
