PSU holds meeting of International Graduates Club
On 26 June 2019 Penza State University hosted the 4th meeting of 2019 International Graduates Club. The event was arranged by the Institute of International Cooperation and the International Students Association of the Penza Region.
The club is designed to assist the club of PSU international alumni. Its major objectives are as follows:
• creating and fostering links between alumni and PSU;
• engaging international alumni in scientific, academic and business cooperation with Russia;
• promoting key areas of interaction with national associations of international graduates around the world.
The roundtable discussion “Mechanisms for stronger partnership between alumni and Penza State University” was held within the event. Damir Saldaev, Head of the International Education Office, delivered welcoming remarks and noted the significance of graduates-university relations cultivated during the study period.
“As alumni you are common denominator between our university and your home-countries that is required for further fruitful cooperation. We hope that these links will not be missed and that you will have many things to share with us in 5 years at the meeting of international alumni of Penza State University,” Damir Saldaev stressed in his speech.
The university graduates also made closing remarks. “We commend the university for favourable learning and living conditions established for our development. During the study period the international students were engaged in scientific, social, cultural and sport activity. We are striving to do our best to make you proud of us in the future,” Rohit Patil, senior student from India, emphasised.
Following the 4th meeting, the International Graduates Club of Penza State University welcomed 20 new members – citizens of India, Tunisia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
