Representatives of Computer Engineering Department took part in the conference in Finland
V.N. Dubinin, Professor at the Computer Engineering Department, Polytechnic Institute, Penza State University, and D.N. Drozdov, a post-graduate student, took part in IEEE 17th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN), which took place on 22nd – 25th July in Helsinki – Espoo, Finland.
Leading scientists and specialists from Japan, the USA, Sweden and Taiwan made reports at the conference. The work of the conference was held at Aalto University and included 14 theme sessions and 20 special sessions. Besides, two seminars and two industrial forums were organized, one of which took place at an industrial enterprise. “At the conference scientists from 34 countries made 283 reports. Germany had the most reports, China took the second place in the number of reports, Finland – the third, Japan – the fourth, Sweden – the fifth. In total these countries made about 50% of the reports”, commented V.N. Dubinin.
Viktor Dubinin made a report dedicated to functional block model implementation of state transitions, and Dmitry Drozdov participated as an organizer in conducting the seminar aimed at promoting into practice the tools of developing distributed systems of controlling industrial automatics based on the international standard IEC 61499. The proceedings of the conference will be cited in Web of Science and Scopus.
The participation of PSU representatives in INDIN’2019 conference became possible due to the support of Lulea University of Technology, Sweden, where V.N. Dubinin has had a two-months’ scientific internship since July, and D.N. Drozdov is taking a double degree post-graduate course at PSU – LTU.
