PSU representatives took part in the International youth festival of friendship
On 24th July, “Quantorium” technopark hosted the International youth festival of friendship where students from Penza State University, Beihang University, Belarusian State University, Belarusian Trade-Economic University, Eurasian National University, and University of Zenica took part.
Students from 8 countries – China, Lebanon, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Russia – got an opportunity to know each other better and to learn culture and customs of the countries.
The festival started with an international quiz, and the participants answered the questions and demonstrated their knowledge. Then, the students from each university showed their creative performances. The students from Beihang University showed the most impressive performance: they played an ancient Chinese melody by flute, showed an exercise which is part of wushu, and also danced in their national costumes. Finally, the chorus performed the song “Katyusha” in Chinese.
“Young people exchanged contacts and souvenirs. We really hope that they will keep their friendship for a long time and as result of this cooperation they will promote new international projects”, claimed O. Meshcheryakova, Head of the International Relations Office.
Within the framework of the festival a summer youth engineering school “Kvantograd” was organized. It was visited by the Chinese delegation which had visited Penza State University on the previous day. The main aim of their visit was to evaluate the project “Conquering the Arctic”.
