15 international students of PSU, who are taking a course in Theory and Practice of Cross-Cultural Communication, became the finalists of II International Competition in Russian as a foreign language organized by St. Petersburg State University.

In-person stage of the competition took place on 28th February in PSU. In order to conduct it, Oleg Kirnitsky, a specialist from the Test Centre of St. Petersburg State University, arrived in Penza. He emphasized that PSU international students have a good knowledge in Russian and paid special attention to the great event organization by the Department “Russian as a foreign language”, Institute of International Cooperation, PSU.

The guest from St. Petersburg also awarded the winners with books and special prizes - vouchers for free testing so as to obtain certificates of the Russian State Testing System in Russian as a Foreign Language, which were given to third-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Medical Institute, PSU: Boukatem Issamu (Algeria) and Atieh Abbasu (Lebanon). These students are the winners of the International online-contest in Russian as a foreign language which was organized by St. Petersburg State University in December, 2019.
