Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, signed an order on measures to implement the Decree of President of Russia Vladimir Putin
The order signed by the Minister on Thursday, April 2, in particular, stipulates that universities and research institutions should transfer the maximum possible number of employees to remote work and determine the minimum number of employees necessary to maintain the organization. According to the text of the document, students are not allowed to visit universities, except for living in residence halls.
Universities, in their turn, must provide an ongoing educational process in the distance mode.
The normative document obliges students and employees of universities and research organizations to comply with all measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
Earlier, the Minister noted the need to resume the educational process in the distance mode. “From Monday, April 6, all universities are encouraged to resume the educational process in the distance mode. I earnestly ask students and teachers to observe self-isolation and motivate others to minimize social contacts. You must show the society a personal example of how to behave in this situation”, commented Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
