Sergey Kireev, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport, took part in the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals - CIEP-2020), which took place on July 17th.

The theme of the conference is "New Materials". Professor Kireev's report was devoted to the creation, principle of operation and corrosion properties of laminated metal materials with an inner protector.

In June last year, the Presidents of Russia and China announced the Russian-Chinese research and engineering cooperation in 2020-2021. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, a number of planned bilateral research and engineering events will be held remotely and online, including the opening ceremony of the year of bilateral research and engineering cooperation: at this ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China will launch online exhibitions of research and engineering projects.

The CIEP event is China's most important event on international research and engineering exchange for scientists and professionals. Within the framework of the CIEP exhibition and conference, universities and research centers of many countries of the world present new promising innovative projects, for the further development or implementation of which it is necessary to combine the efforts of scientists and professionals from different directions from around the world. Russia, in the role of honorary guest-country at CIEP-2020, presented a large-scale exposition which focused on the development of bilateral cooperation in the main priority areas of research and engineering, implemented in the format of joint Russian-Chinese projects, proposals of Russian organizations to Chinese colleagues on the joint implementation of research and development, mega-science projects with proposals for the participation of Chinese scientific organizations and individual specialists in them. Much attention in the exposition programme is paid to educational, especially postgraduate programmes of Russian universities. The online exhibition will be supplemented by a system for connecting projects and direct communication between Russian and Chinese colleagues.
