PSU post-graduate students and their colleagues from Romania presented their reports in linguistics
On January 19, the II International Student Research Webinar in Language and Culture, held in cooperation with the Transylvania University of Braşov (Romania), was held at the English Language Department, Penza State University. The webinar was organized by Tatyana Dubrovskaya, Head of the English Language Department, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Raluka Sinu, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the Transylvania University.
During the webinar, six reports were made, prepared by postgraduate and master’s degree students of Penza State University and Transylvania University. Reports from the Russian side were presented by post-graduate students of the department, studying in the specialty "Theory of the Language": N. Vidineeva, E. Kozhevnikova and E. Yuskaeva (scientific advisor - Tatyana Dubrovskaya). The postgraduate students presented reports reflecting some aspects of their thesis research: "Author's Implicit Self-Presentation in Political Weblogs", "Representation of the German Language Policy in the Text of the Bill "Ausarbeitung. Sprache im Grundgesetz” and “Representations of Collectivism in Online Communities”.
The reports aroused great interest and lively discussion, which allowed the post-graduate students to discuss the results of their research with foreign colleagues. As the webinar confirmed, both the Russian and Romanian parties are interested in further fruitful cooperation between their universities in the field of scientific research of young linguists.
