Round table "Mechanisms for strengthening ties between foreign graduates and PSU"

On Friday, June 11, Penza State University hosted a round table "Mechanisms for strengthening ties between foreign graduates and PSU", which was held within the 6th meeting of the International Alumni Club.

Penza State University annually graduates more than 300 highly qualified foreign specialists who are in demand not only in the Russian Federation, but also in other countries. The PSU International Alumni Club is aimed at improving international relations and is an instrument of public diplomacy. Within the framework of International Alumni Club forums, round tables, and meetings are held.

In 2021, 367 students from 19 countries in 35 specialties graduate from Penza State University. Among the alumni, 27 students from 11 countries of the world took part in the meeting of the Club: India, Yemen, Afghanistan, Egypt, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.

Gleb Sintsov, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, in his welcoming speech congratulated the children on successful graduation from the university and wished them creative realization: “Set ambitious goals for yourself, bring them to life and do not forget your alma mater. We are always glad to see you!”

Graduates of 2021, in response, expressed their gratitude to the university: “PSU is really a university where dreams come true! Thanks to the university and the Institute of International Cooperation for diversified development, upbringing, support and faith in us and our strength”, - emphasized Benazir Usmanova, “Best foreign student of the year”, graduate-2021. Traditionally, graduates of previous years have joined the Club meeting through the ZOOM platform. In their address to the current graduates, they wished them not to forget their native university and to cherish the memories of it and all the knowledge gained during the years of study.

Following the meeting, a resolution was approved defining further steps to develop the Club and strengthen ties between foreign graduates and PSU. 27 alumni received letters of thanks from the rector of the university, certificates and badges confirming membership in the International Alumni Club, as well as commemorative cards.
