On 17 June, the delegation of the Representative Office of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd (China) in Nizhny Novgorod paid an official visit to Penza State University.

Their acquaintance with the leading university of the Penza region began with a sightseeing tour about the history of the university in the Information and Exhibition Centre, viewing the exhibits of the Polytechnic Museum. Dmitry Artamonov, First Vice-Rector of PSU, told the guests about the outstanding alumni who made a significant contribution to the development of our country in various fields of activity: photos of outstanding alumni are located in the hall of the educational building number 1.

The bilateral meeting of the representatives of the leading world developer company with the management and researchers of Penza State University, which took place in the conference room, was devoted to the prospects for cooperation.

Sergey Vasin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, spoke about the development of international activities at Penza State University, and in particular, about partnership with China.
The top managers of the company presented the trends that Huawei relies on in its activities to Penza colleagues.

PSU leading researchers presented the projects, which are being actively worked on, for further discussion. Sergey Vasin emphasized the relevance of the research areas of Penza State University. “The presented projects are largely supported by Russian foundations or enterprises. At the same time, each of them contains scientific novelty. Today we have brought up a large and capacious material for discussion,” emphasized Sergey Vasin and thanked the partners for the attention shown to the university and the researchers.

On the results of the meeting, plans were outlined for the further joint development of individual projects.
