89 graduates from India, Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Lebanon and Nigeria became certified general practitioners: on July 13, a ceremony of awarding certificates of higher medical education was held at Penza State University.
In his welcoming speech, PSU Rector Aleksandr Guliakov congratulated yesterday's students on their successful graduation: “I am pleased to note that five people graduated from the Medical Institute with honors. I am impressed by the fact that our graduates annually successfully confirm their knowledge in their countries. This means that we taught you well, and you studied well. And I would like to thank the entire faculty, as well as your parents - they have invested in you the mind, talent and diligence. The medical profession is unique and the noblest in the world. And if a person has chosen such a profession, then he should give himself completely to it. Each of you has a bright future ahead of you, and I wish you to achieve high professional results, never stop, constantly study and improve your skills. And don't forget your alma mater and your teachers!"
Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Aleksandr Mitroshin, Director of the Medical Institute, Inessa Moiseeva, Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, and Sergey Ivanchin, Head of the International Education Office, addressed the graduates with congratulations. Adel Ali Omar Maqbol, Chairman of the International Students Association of the Penza Region, also spoke about the need to keep in touch with the university. “During these six years, you were not only given knowledge and the opportunity to become true professionals, but you were also supported in all spheres of life - domestic, social and cultural. The Institute of International Cooperation and the International Students Association have walked this path together with you. Cherish the memories of your student years at Penza State University,” said Adel Maqbol.
This year, the graduates’ parents came to congratulate them. Manisha Utkarsh, mother of Bhatt Utkarsh, holder of a certificate with honours, expressed her gratitude to the university in the person of Rector Aleksandr Guliakov and thanked all the teachers and staff: “I am happy to be here today and see how my son fulfills his cherished childhood dream - he is getting a certificate of higher education. Of course, it is worrying for us, parents, to let our children go to another country. But we know that here they get all the support they need. And for this we thank the leadership of the university and the general partner of PSU - the Chevalier Group." From the Association of Parents of Indian Medical Students of Russia, Rector of PSU Aleskandr Guliakov was awarded with an appreciation letter.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, the graduates traditionally took the doctor's oath.
