On 29 November 2023, the research teams from Penza State University and Parul University (India) held an online meeting to discuss the opportunities for joint research on developing various types of devices based on nanomaterials. This meeting continued the series of contacts established between PSU researchers and their Indian colleagues thanks to the visit of Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Professor of the Department of Public and Private Law Gleb Sintsov to India in April 2023, as well as due to the preliminary agreements reached during an online meeting with university management in September 2023, which was held with the assistance of PSU partner, Director of Chevalier Group, Dr. Yuvrajsihn Solanki.

Support in organizing the meeting was provided by the International Project Department of International Relations Office of PSU represented by its head Tatiana Razuvaeva, the management of Parul University represented by the Director for Research Prof. Dr. Anand Y. Joshi and the International Relations Cell of Parul University, represented by its director Preeti Nair.

The research team of Penza State University including Doctor of Engineerings Sciences, Head of the Department of Nanoelectronics and Microelectronics Igor Pronin, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Nanoelectronics and Microelectronics Andrei Karmanov, postgraduate student and engineer of the Department of Nanoelectronics and Microelectronics Ivan Filippov presented its outputs and outcomes on controlling the structure of hierarchical nanomaterials, on studying the effect of spontaneous voltage generation in nanomaterials, on exploring the photocatalysts based on nanostructured materials, as well as on developing gas sensors and vacuum sensors based on metal oxide nanomaterials.

During the meeting Parul University was represented by Director for Research and Professor of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering Prof. Dr. Anand Y. Joshi, Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Unnati Joshi, Assistant Professor of the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities Dr. Meenu Khan, Assistant Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering Dr. Vishal Kumar Sandhwar and Assistant Professor of the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities Dr. Sanketsinh Gopalsinh Thakor. The Indian researchers briefly described the scope of research and gave more details about the developed sensing devices based on barium titanate.

Having become acquainted with their colleagues and their achievements, the researchers identified the areas of common research interest, in particular, sensors based on hierarchical nanomaterials and tetrapods based on zinc oxide. The research teams agreed to consider the possibility of writing joint scientific articles and submitting joint project applications to scientific grant funds.
