Vice-Rector of PSU Gleb Sintsov takes part in a government meeting with the First Secretary of the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation
On Tuesday, March 5, a working meeting was held at the Governor’s House with Kamol Davronov, First Secretary of the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the city of Kazan. Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Penza State University, took part in it.
The event was also attended by: Almaz Khakimov, Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Region; Aleksei Kachan, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Demography of the region; Eduard Katashov, Deputy Head of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture; Satimbay Berdiev, Head of the Penza Uzbek National-Cultural Autonomy; representatives of higher educational institutions.
Kamol Davronov noted that there are high prospects for cooperation in the field of education between the Penza region and the regions of Uzbekistan. He emphasized that there are quite a lot of educational institutions in Penza that have proven themselves well, and promised to work to ensure that as much information as possible is conveyed to Uzbek schoolchildren - potential applicants.
“It should be noted that the meeting was useful and productive, because Uzbekistan is an interesting focus area for attracting international students to study at PSU, since at the moment there are not many Uzbek students studying with us,” Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, summed up the meeting.
