PSU and Holy Grace Pharmaceutical Academy of India discussed cooperation in the field of pharmacy
On Wednesday, February 5, Penza State University hosted an online meeting between the staff of the Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology of the Medical Institute and the heads of the Holy Grace Pharmaceutical Academy (India).
PSU was represented by Inessa Moiseeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, Head of the Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology. Inessa Moiseeva and Dr. Ajith Kumar, Professor and Director of the Academy, presented their universities and key areas of activity. They discussed prospects for scientific cooperation, holding academic conferences and student exchange programmes. Dr. Ajith Kumar emphasized the importance of active interaction between universities and the need to work together on projects. He is confident that projects contribute to the development of the scientific potential of teachers and students. The speaker noted that involving students in scientific research stimulates their interest and increases motivation not only for studying, but also for participating in conferences and grant programmes. Inessa Moiseeva supported the proposal for cooperation between the educational institutions. She emphasized the many years of successful experience in training medical specialists in the field of General Medicine.
"Traditionally, a high percentage of medical students who received diplomas at PSU confirm them in India and work successfully," said Inessa Moiseeva.
She showed particular interest in the prospects of academic exchange, since the Medical Institute implements educational programmes for training students in the programme "Pharmacy" using English as the language of training.
At the end of the meeting, the participants asked questions of interest to them about the organization of the educational process, agreed on plans for further action and outlined new joint events.
The organizers of the session were Olga Meshcheryakova, Head of the International Relations Office of the Institute of International Cooperation of PSU, and Polina Erokhina, translator of the International Projects Department.
