PSU Associate Professor takes part in training session in Bologna
On 17 – 22 September 2018, Irina Kolchugina, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, underwent internship within the Erasmus + project Enhancing Teaching Practice in Higher Education in Russia and China (ENTEP). The event was hosted by the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Bologna (Italy).
The University of Bologna (UNIBO) is the first university in Europe. It dates back to 1088. Today, the university comprises 23 different faculties, where almost 100 thousand students study.
The seminar was attended by academics from Russia and China. The guests were particularly interested in the workshops conducted by Italian lecturers and focused on the following topics:
- Inclusive processes and didactics of higher education;
- Group methods of work;
- Development and evaluation of the learning process through mediation;
- Innovations in higher education: methods and strategies to apply;
- Active learning through digital videos.
The participants discussed modern methods of teaching. They also performed interactive tasks and participated in shooting a training video. At the end of the session, it was decided to implement acquired knowledge and methods in the learning process at Penza State University.
