PSU international students are laureates of the International Reading Competition
In Penza, III International Reading Competition “Words are Like Wings” came to its end: the final took place on December 7 on the Small Stage of the Penza Regional Drama Theater.
This year, 12 finalists competed to be the best, including international students of Penza State University: Rozygul Nurullaeva (Turkmenistan), Viktoria Hitijahubessy (Indonesia) and Karimzoda Khusravjoni (Tajikistan). For over two months, the students had been preparing for the gala concert under the strict guidance of their mentors, the actors of the Penza Drama Theater.
In the final, Rozygul Nurullaeva performed a piece of work by Robert Rozhdestvensky "A man needs little", Viktoria Hitijahubessi presented "Variations on the theme of the fairy tale "Buzzy-Wuzzy Busy Fly" by Leonid Filatov, and Karimzoda Khusravjoni turned to the writings of philosopher and poet Omar Khayyam. It was his "Wisdom of Life" that brought the student the silver award of the reading competition. “This victory means a lot to me! I worked really hard and my work was appreciated. I would like to thank my mentor, Vladislav Matyukin, for work, advice and support!”, emphasized the winner.
