A PSU representative takes part in the international conference "Engineering: Theory and Practice"
On April 28, Sergei Kireev, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport of Penza State University, spoke at the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Engineering: Theory and Practice". The event was held at Polessky State University.
The conference was organized jointly with Petrozavodsk State University and Novosibirsk State Agrarian University.
The synergistic orientation of the conference is expressed by the fact that "engineering" (eng. Engineering - ingenuity, knowledge) is an engineering and consulting service, the content of which is the solution of engineering problems related to creating and improving technologies, products, production processes, control systems, elimination of uncertainties with a parallel technical and economic assessment of the implemented solutions. At the beginning of the event, an agreement on international cooperation was signed between Polessky State University and the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigated Agriculture (Volgograd, Russia).
The participants of the conference were greeted by: Vladimir Shtepa, Vice-Rector for Research of Polessky State University; Sergei Kireev, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies, Power Engineering and Transport, Penza State University; Tamara Kuchko, Director of the Institute of Biology, Ecology and Agrotechnologies of Petrozavodsk State University; Konstantin Makarov, Head of the Department of Software and Information Systems Administration, Kursk State University.
Plenary presentations revealed a number of promising engineering areas, during which active discussions arose:
— “Relevance of digital transformation in aquaculture” by Viktor Shumak, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Polessky State University,
– “Ecological problems of water bodies of the Republic of Karelia” by Anna Volkova, Head of the Department of Zootechnics, Fishery, Agronomy and Land Management of Petrozavodsk State University,
— “Overview of medical mobile applications” by Marina Romanova, Head of the Department of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems, Polessky State University.
The conference went on to work in sectional mode. At the end, a promising topic for further research was formulated with a focus on cooperation and associations within the framework of engineering approaches.
