The XIII Congress of the Association of International Students of Russia (AIS), which took place from October 9 to 12 in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, came to an end
The Congress of the Association of International Students of Russia was attended by 250 international students from 48 countries currently studying at Russian universities.
Seven students representing Penza State University, from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, and Kazakhstan, attended two intensive educational days at Ufa Interuniversity Campus of the Eurasian Research and Education Center. They attended lectures on digital hygiene and security, a roundtable discussion with representatives of the Association's executive committee and student activists, and went on a tour of Ufa.
"We're thrilled! We learned a lot about AIS's activities in the regions, and it's great that the Congress brought together activists with sparkling eyes and interesting initiatives from different countries and cities. Those of us who attended such a forum for the first time were pleasantly surprised and filled with new emotions. Speaking of the republic, we especially liked the architecture and nature of Bashkortostan. Old buildings and new houses are surrounded by nature. Ufa is also a vibrant city with lights, colorful graffiti, mosaics," the students said.
"The students were inspired, and that's true. They shared their emotions the entire way back. They learned about the work of the Association of International Students, and they came up with a multitude of ideas for improving the AIS's activities in our region. We will actively support their initiatives, some of which we will begin implementing in the coming days," noted Maria Melnikova, a specialist in the Student Affairs Department.
