PSU delegation took part in VI Conference of International Students Association of Russia
VI conference of International Students Association of Russia took place at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Moscow, from 3rd to 6th of May, 2016. The participants from Penza State University were Damir Saldaev, Head of International Education Office; Sergei Ivanchin, Head of Department of Student Affairs; Orkhan Novruzov, Chairman of International Students Association of the Penza Region; Ruslan Talantbekov, a first-year student of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, Information Technologies and Electronics; Muhammad Kodirov, a second-year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, Medical Institute.
“Within the framework of the conference Board of Guardians’ meeting of International Students Association of Russia took place. The Board is headed by Vladimir Filippov, RUDN Rector. The agenda had several issues, such as the inclusion of new members into the Board of Guardians (Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University; North-Eastern Federal University; North Caucasian Federal University; Northern (Arctic) Federal University; Baltic Federal University; South-West State University). The participants also listened to the annual report of Adou Yao Nicaise, President of International Students Association of Russia. The report was approved by the Board members”, commented Damir Saldaev, Head of International Education Office.
The ceremonial opening started with welcoming speeches by Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Benin Republic in the Russian Federation, founder of International Students Association in Russia; Konstantin Kosachev, Head of the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs; doyens from Middle Eastern countries, Africa, Latin America, and Asia; representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation; representatives of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
791 representatives from 126 countries of the world, studying in 118 universities of the Russian Federation took part in the conference. In the course of its work the participants worked out suggestions for solving the problems international students face when they choose Russian higher education.
Adou Yao Nicaise, President of International Students Association of Russia: “Russian education is recognized all over the world, and the number of places students come from is increasing. We can’t leave these problems unsolved, so we offer ways of overcoming them”.
