Russian Ministry for Education and Science has announced the results of 2016-2017 annual contest for President Scholarship for Studying Abroad, that is conducted among university and post-university students in Russia and offers full financial support for studying in leading world universities or research institutes for one academic year.

Eight students from Penza State University are among the forty winners of this contest. They are 3 first-year economics students – V. Bashkirova, A. Lazuko, A. Kalinina; 2 master degree students from the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, Information Technologies and Electronics – I.Skorosova, A. Sigaev; 2 medical students – V. Velichko, L. Panyushina; 1 student of IT Faculty – A.Voinov.

The contest committee choses among the applicants most motivated, determined and research-oriented students. They study for one academic year in chosen universities, the government funding will cover all their education, travel and living expenses.
