On 8-9 December, 2016, T. Dubrovskaya, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Head of the Department of the English Language, took part in scientific conference «The West: concept, narrative, and politics», which was organized by the Department of History and Ethnology, University of Jyväskylä (Finland).

At the conference T. Dubrovskaya made a presentation on the topic “Constructing the West in Russian external political discourse”. The report contained the results of work on the project “Political, legal and mass media discourse in constructing international relations in the Russian Federation” supported by Russian Foundation for Humanities no. 15-34-14001.

 “The interdisciplinary event hosted researchers of the West in its different aspects: historical, philosophical, political, discursive. The scholars represented different countries of Europe, Asia and North America”, said T. Dubrovskaya.
