On December, 15, Penza State University hosted V International Scientific Conference of International Students “Cross-cultural communication in the modern world” organized by the Institute of International Cooperation, PSU.

The plenary meeting was opened with welcoming speeches by S. Vasin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, D.Saldaev, Head of International Education Office, S. Ivanchin, Head of the Department of Students Affairs.

Over 70 authors took part in the conference: students, master students, post graduate students and teachers from 7 universities (including from four foreign one): Penza State University, Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, Kokshetau State University (Kazakhstan), Lanzhou University (China), Flensburg University (Germany), Vienna University of Economics (Austria), and also our guests and partners from Ogarev Mordovia State University.

The participants of the conference are international students from 17 countries of the world:  China, India, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Kirghizia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Armenia.

He Xinxing from China, Joshi Meet from India, Mere Georgi from Estonia, Ogundiran Oluvatobi from Nigeria made reports at the plenary meeting.

Shakhir Khudayarov, an honoured guest from Turkmenistan, spoke about cooperation in the field of adaptation of international students between Ogarev Mordovia State University and Penza State University.

Apart from the article authors the conference was attended by more than 150 international students. Within the framework of the conference there were five sections in relevant issues: international communication, the faith of the Russian language in the world, social adaptation of international students, world economy and international relations, national and international medicine. The conference proceedings will be placed in RSCI database.

The 1st degree certificates were awarded to the following international students: Bhatiya Sanjay, Koshaeva Umida, Rozakulova Malika, He Xinxing, Yun Guo. They were presented the certificates for taking a foreign language course in Information and Resource Centre, Institute of International Cooperation.

The 2nd degree certificates were awarded to: Avanesyan Yuri, Bhagat Harita, Demirer Ali, Joshi Meet, Li Fei Fei, Chubarova Alina.

The 3rd degree certificated were awarded to: Achilov Alijan, Degirmenji Mustafa, Luo Hui, Martirosyan Laura, Tursunov Nariman, Shah Nisarg.

In the category “Originality of the problem outline” the awards were given to: Alabetutu Ayanfeoluva, Gurbangeldieva Maral, Joi Susu, Jumabaev Rakhim, Yonash Anna, Faik Briar Otman Faik.

In the category “Public speaking” the awards were given to: Dadasheva Solmaz, Kai Chenkai, Karimov Nosirchon, Muftakhudinova Regina, Khudayarov Shakhir, Mere Georgi.

In the category “Creative report presentation” the awards were given to: Azzam Yussev, Akimbaev Alisher, Bairyeva Ogulsona, Bunk Linda, Bhagat Harita, Dinkel Anna, Ma Min.
