PSU teachers undertook internship in Romania
From February 28th till March 5th, 2017 Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, Belinsky Institute of Teacher Education, and Yulia Al. Didyk, Associate Professor at the Department of Translation and Translation Studies, Belinsky Institute of Teacher Education, completed a research and methodology internship in “1 December 1918” University of Alba Iulia (Romania).
The internship was arranged within Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme. PSU teachers gave seminar classes for students of the Department of Philology, Faculty of History and Philology, “1 December 1918” University of Alba Iulia. Scientific reports presented by Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina and Yulia Al. Didyk and devoted to the aspects of discourse analysis (Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina “Political rhetoric: analysis and genre peculiarities”; Yulia Al. Didyk “Speech manipulation in George Bernard Shaw plays”) generated great interest of students and teaching staff.
“In addition the working meetings were held with Iordachescu Teodora, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Gabriel Barbulet, Head of the Department of Philology, professors of the Department of Philology and staff of the International Relations Office. We have discussed the issues of methods of teaching foreign languages and organisation of research and methodological work at the department with Romanian colleagues. During discussions the prospects for further cooperation were determined within establishing students and staff mobility, arranging joint research and practice conferences, as well as developing collaborative Erasmus+ projects”, Ekaterina Yu. Aleshina emphasized.
