The student from “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia (Romania) is studying at Penza State University within the credit mobility programme. Florea Kiprian-Kodrut chose the field of study 39.04.02 “Social Work” (Master’s degree programme “History, Methods and Theory of Social Work”). His internship will be from 27 November 2017 to 31 March 2018. The coordinator in PSU is Aleksandr Tugarov, dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Sciences.

The internship was organised within Erasmus + programme: credit mobility, implemented by the International Relations Office, PSU. Let us recall that Penza State University signed a cooperation agreement with “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia (Romania) in 2014.

In 2017, within the bilateral agreement on the credit mobility programme, PSU academics visited one of the leading Romanian universities. They gave lectures and conducted seminars for students of the Department of Linguistics at the Faculty of History and Philology, University of Alba Iulia. They pursued scientific and methodological internships.

The faculty members from the Romanian university completed the capacity-building programmes and delivered lectures for foreign languages students at the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature, PSU.

“In 2016/2017 academic year, 6 students from “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia were trained in PSU. Our six students were also able to undergo internship in the framework of academic mobility in Romania. 21 academics from both universities have pursued internships”. Olga Meshcheryakova, Head of the International Relations Office at PSU, emphasised.

“Last week, the representatives of the National Office of Erasmus + conducted an inspection and, according to the results, noted the high level in organising credit mobility at PSU. In 2018, the university plans to apply for the increasing number of participants in the academic exchange programmes,” she added.

Participation in the international programmes contributes to improving quality of education and scientific processes at the university, their integration into the international university space. There are plans to create an International Association of Universities that will promote the development of academic mobility among the participating universities.
