PSU students are taking teacher training internship in Lubeck (Germany)
In October 2019 Penza State University hosted events under DACH-Tage in Pensa project – “German-speaking countries days”. For two days foreign consultants conducted workshops and seminars for teachers of the German language and students of the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature. One of the consultants was Martin Harold, Head of German Society for Internships (Lubeck, Germany). In the course of negotiations with O. Surina, Director of the Institute of Teacher Education, E. Aleshina, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, T. Razuvaeva, Head of International Projects Department, the agreement on cooperation between PSU and German Society for Internships was achieved. The agreement resulted in the first internship for the students of the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature. Alina Pitanova and Maria Yangutova are taking a teacher training internship which started on 3rd February, 2020.
During two months’ period the students will have many things to do: within the first two weeks the students from Russia and Finland will take part in pedagogical workshops and seminars. Then they will take a teacher training internship in schools of the City of Flensburg.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the European University of Flensburg, which has been working with PSU since 2012. The project is financed by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and Schleswig-Holstein.
In the nearest future PSU and German society for internships are going to sign a cooperation agreement, under which two students of German and one teacher of German from the Faculty of History, Languages and Literature will take internships annually.
