The regional stage of the Student Spring Festival was the major creative event for university students, who were joined by college students this year. The competitive auditions took place on 20 April 2022, the jury included prominent culture and arts figures of the city of Penza. In total, 53 performances were selected in four areas: dance, music, theatre and fashion. On 26 April 2022, the best of the best took to the stage of the Culture Development Centre "House of Officers" as part of the gala concert.

The international students of Penza State University participated in the regional Student Spring Festival for the first time. The honour of the university was upheld by Saakanush Muradyan from Armenia and Abdelrahman Mohamed from Egypt (mentor – Mariia Melnikova). “Engaging in this festival is not only a great honour for us, but also a great responsibility. This means new experience, strong contestants and numerous emotions!” the students shared their feelings.

As the result of the competition, the international students of PSU became the prize-winners in two areas “Pop vocal (duet)” and “Pop vocal (solo), foreign song”. Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, stressed that the university is proud of the achievements of its students: “We congratulate our students on the victory and thank them for presenting our university with dignity! We are also please to share the good news: Sahakanush Muradyan with the song “Havatu Em” is recommended to participate in the anniversary Russian Student Spring Festival, which will be held in Samara from 18 to 24 May 2022. We will cheer for our student and provide full support!”
